Bromsgrove and Redditch Councils are seeking a Senior Housing Technical Support Officer to support the Housing Service, ensuring systems provide clean analytical data and business intelligence to improve services for customers and colleagues.

The role manages the Housing Technical Support Team day-to-day, oversees financial processes including rent reviews, BACS, benefits, and lost payments, and drives service improvements through new technology and better Housing IT systems.

Competenze

• A Level in Maths, English and Computer Sciences/ICT (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with a Housing IT application.

Senior Housing Technical Support Officer

Situated in North Worcestershire, Bromsgrove District Council and Redditch Borough Council share services. The role

• To support the Housing Service in delivering quality services and meeting the requirements of the Consumer Standards as set out by the Housing Regulator.
• To support our strategic housing function and to ensure systems provide appropriate, clean analytical data and business intelligence to ensure we are proving appropriate services to our customers and colleagues.
• Involvement in projects which will implement new technology, new business process and change the way people work across the whole Housing Service.
• Develop and improve the Housing IT systems.

Key Requirements

• To manage the day-to-day activities of the Housing Technical Support Team.
• Ensure the smooth delivery of all financial processes within the Housing Service including the annual rent review, BACS processing, Benefit entitlements, investigating lost payments and ensuring they are reconciled.
• Provide effective business support for colleagues across the service, working in partnership to understand their needs and deliver support and solutions that help to deliver on shared business objectives.

Skills & Experience

• Minimum A Level (or equivalent) Maths, English and Computer Sciences/ICT
• A minimum of 2 years experience working with a Housing based IT application.
