Stonehouse Recruitment is seeking a Housing Services Manager for a Midlands Local Authority Housing Management service on an initial 3-month contract. The role focuses on leading Housing Management teams, driving performance improvements and transforming services to keep residents at the centre of delivery.

Ideal candidates will have strong Local Authority housing experience, proven team leadership, and solid knowledge of housing regulation.

Qualificações

• Strong Local Authority Housing Management experience.
• Proven experience managing and developing housing teams.
• Strong knowledge of housing legislation, regulation and consumer standards.
• Experience delivering service improvement, performance management or transformational change.
• Strong understanding of tenancy management, income collection and estate services.
• Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to identify service issues and implement practical, measurable improvements.
• Degree-level qualification or equivalent professional experience.
• CIH membership or recognised housing qualification would be advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, manage and develop Housing Management teams, creating a high-performing and accountable service culture.
• Oversee tenancy management, income collection, estate services and tenant engagement.
• Drive service improvement, performance and customer satisfaction.
• Use performance data, customer feedback and quality assurance to identify and address service issues.
• Support the Council’s housing transformation and continuous improvement programmes.
• Ensure compliance with housing legislation, consumer standards and regulatory requirements.
• Manage complex housing cases, complaints, Member enquiries and Ombudsman matters where required.
• Work closely with senior management, elected Members and internal and external stakeholders.
• Support regulatory assurance, inspection readiness and effective governance across Housing Management.
