Job summary

ExtraCare Charitable Trust in the Midlands is seeking a Housing Manager to lead social housing regulatory compliance, resident engagement and accountability. You will shape strategies to meet Regulator of Social Housing standards and ensure safety, quality and tenant influence across our retirement communities.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in housing management or related social housing environment.
• Strong knowledge of RSH Consumer Standards and landlord responsibilities.
• Level 4 housing management qualification or equivalent.
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into policy and procedures.
• Proven track record in developing assurance frameworks and monitoring compliance.
• Excellent relationship-building with residents, partners and teams.

Responsibilities

• Act as strategic lead for social housing regulatory compliance and Consumer Standards.
• Develop and maintain housing compliance and assurance framework with evidence gathering and risk reporting.
• Lead interpretation and implementation of Consumer Standards across services including safety, quality and transparency.
• Support locations with tenancy management activities in line with legislation and policy.
• Build strong relationships with housing partners to meet resident expectations.
• Keep up to date with housing legislation and regulatory codes, reflecting changes in policy and practice.
• Provide assurance to senior leadership on compliance, resident experience and improvement actions.
• Lead Resident Forums including agenda planning, communications and promotion.
• Promote Resident Associations and opportunities for resident involvement across locations.
• Collaborate with Local Authorities and voluntary bodies to strengthen service delivery.
