Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council is recruiting a Senior Home Support Assistant in Smethwick. The role leads frontline teams within the STAR Reablement Service, delivering high-quality, person-centred home support and coaching staff to achieve better outcomes.

You will promote best practice, support induction and staff development, and work with reablement supervisors and managers to maintain safety and quality across service delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in health, social care or reablement services.
• Passion for maximizing independence for service users.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate, coach and support colleagues.
• Good understanding of safeguarding, dignity and person-centred care.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions and work under pressure.
• Flexible and proactive problem solving approach.
• Confidence using electronic recording systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Must drive and have access to a vehicle.
