Job summary

Abermule CP School in Wales is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (Generic) Level 4 to support pupil learning across varied classroom settings alongside the assigned teacher.

You will assist with planning, preparing and delivering learning activities, monitor progress and contribute to recording attainment, under supervision. The role requires DBS clearance and a proactive team approach.

Responsibilities

• Advance pupils' learning in a range of classroom settings, including working with individuals, small groups and whole classes where the assigned teacher is not present.
• Support the work of a qualified teacher and, under supervision, have responsibility for agreed learning activities, planning, preparing and delivering learning activities to pupils/groups or classes, and monitoring progress.
• Undertake specified work defined under S133 of the Education Act 2002: planning and preparing lessons and courses for pupils, delivering lessons (including via distance learning), and assessing and recording development, progress and attainment.
• Be a member of a multi-disciplinary team and work with delegated authority under an agreed supervision system.
