Job summary

Trerobart Primary School in Pontypridd is seeking an enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (Level 4) to cover planning, preparation and assessment across the school. This temporary post supports the Foundation Phase and Curriculum for Wales progression, with a strong focus on enabling every pupil to reach their full potential.

The successful candidate will plan, deliver and monitor learning activities, working with staff and parents to foster a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant Level 4 or equivalent.
• Sound understanding of foundation phase principles and Curriculum for Wales progression.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality provision inside and outside the classroom where pupils feel safe, happy and thrive.
• Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality learning activities for the pupils.
• Monitor pupils and assess, record and report on pupils’ achievement, progress and development.
• Work effectively with others, be approachable, adaptable and communicate well.
• Manage teaching assistants effectively.
• Work closely with parents and the wider community, conducting workshops, meetings and reports.
