Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to support schools across Sheffield, working with pupils with SEN and SEMH needs. Roles are full-time with flexible opportunities and a daily rate of £100-£120 per day, depending on experience and school budgets.

You will work 1:1, in small groups or whole class, delivering interventions and building strong relationships with pupils and staff. Relevant qualifications or experience in education are desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience working as an HLTA or experienced Teaching Assistant.
• Strong understanding of SEN and/or SEMH needs.
• Confident supporting pupils with a range of additional needs.
• Patient, adaptable and proactive.
• Able to build positive relationships with children and staff.
• Relevant qualifications and/or experience in education are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning across educational settings.
• Work with pupils on a 1:1, small-group and whole-class basis.
• Provide targeted support for pupils with SEN/SEMH needs.
• Deliver interventions and learning activities where required.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
• Support behaviour, engagement and individual learning needs.
