Job summary

Veritas Education Recruitment is seeking a SEN HLTA to support pupils with additional needs across a range of settings in West Yorkshire. The role focuses on delivering targeted interventions, assisting teachers and contributing to individual support plans within safeguarding guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have TA experience or a Level 3 TA qualification and hold an Enhanced DBS check. You will work closely with the SENCO, families and external professionals to enable learners to access

Qualifications

• Level 2 English and maths (GCSE grade 4/C or Functional Skills) is required.
• Experience in Teaching Assistant role or a Level 3 TA qualification is required.
• Enhanced DBS check is mandatory; we can advise on this.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality learning and pastoral support to pupils with a range of additional needs.
• Lead and deliver targeted 1:1 and small-group interventions in line with pupils' needs.
• Support pupils in lessons and, where appropriate, deliver planned activities in the absence of the class teacher.
• Collaborate with teachers, the SENCO, families and external professionals to implement support strategies.
• Contribute to development and review of individual support plans and EHCP outcomes.
• Monitor pupils' progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
• Promote safeguarding, inclusion, equality and high expectations for all pupils.
