Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment in Sheffield is seeking experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to support schools across the city, working with pupils with SEN and SEMH needs.

The role involves supporting teaching and learning on a 1:1, small-group and whole-class basis, delivering interventions and learning activities, and building positive relationships with pupils and staff. The daily rate is £100-£120 per day, with potential higher rates depending on experience and school budget.

Qualifications

• HLTA or experienced Teaching Assistant with SEN/SEMH experience.
• Strong SEN/SEMH knowledge.
• Willingness to support pupils with a range of additional needs.
• Patient, adaptable and proactive approach.
• Able to build positive relationships with children and staff.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning across educational settings.
• Work with pupils on 1:1, small-group and whole-class basis.
• Provide targeted support for pupils with SEN/SEMH needs.
• Deliver interventions and learning activities where required.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
