Job summary

Kier is looking for Senior Highways and Drainage Engineers to join our team across the UK, with locations including Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Cardiff, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Manchester and more. Agile working is available, with up to 1-2 days per week from home.

You will lead design outputs, review calculations and drawings, support tenders, and provide technical input for temporary works design and management on major infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in producing, checking and reviewing design outputs (calculations, sketches, drawings, 3D models, reports) and ensuring CDM/SHE/QA compliance.
• Strong grounding in highways and drainage engineering principles and applicable design standards.
• Ability to lead multiple projects, manage scope, programme and budgets, and support tenders and preconstruction planning.

Responsibilities

As part of our 100-strong team, you'll get to work on hundreds of projects across one of the most diverse and high-profile portfolios in the country, with access to Kier's £11bn+ project pipeline - supporting complex construction and major infrastructure schemes from concept through to delivery.Are you... Practically-minded, design and checking, reviewing permanent designs for compliance and buildability, supporting tenders and preconstruction planning, and providing technical support to overcome construction-stage and post-construction issues and defects.

What will you be responsible for?

Leading the delivery of a broad range of construction engineering services, including some or all of: highways and drainage temporary works

with a strong grounding in highways and drainage engineering principles and knowledge of applicable design standards? An Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or working towards Chartered Engineer status (CEng) with an equivalent level of experience?

Do you...
