Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Senior Highway Engineer for our Transportation team. The role supports delivery of highway projects from Cambridge, Epsom, or Chelmsford with optional remote work up to two days a week.

You will lead design work, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with clients and stakeholders to deliver feasibility studies, technical designs, and contract documents across schemes.

Qualifications

• Experience designing to DMRB and relevant standards.
• Knowledge of civil design software such as AutoCAD and Civil3D.

Responsibilities

• Prepare designs and specifications per DMRB.
• Develop designs using AutoCAD and Civil3D where applicable.
• Deliver work packages and manage schemes and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Support Project Managers in planning, pricing, and deliverables.
• Check, certify, and authorise designs, documents, and reports.
