Leicestershire County Council invites applications for a Senior Technician in the Highway Drainage Maintenance Section. The role involves ordering works, investigations, and resolution of highway flooding, coordinating with contractors and engaging with stakeholders.

It may require work outside standard hours at different locations from base. The candidate should have a Civil Engineering qualification or equivalent experience, with strong communication, planning, and IT skills, including CAD.

Qualifications

• BTEC Higher / NVQ4 in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in engineering projects (design, maintenance or construction).
• Experience delivering projects on time, within budget.
• Ability to learn service-specific systems.

Responsabilités

• Order works to maintain highway drainage assets and investigate drainage issues.
• Coordinate with contractors and on-site operatives.
• Support delivery of the Highway Authority objectives and flood risk strategies.
• Engage with the public and stakeholders to resolve issues.
