Leicestershire County Council is seeking a Development Approvals Technician to join the Infrastructure Planning Team in the Environment and Transport Department. You will provide technical administration support, manage data/records, and handle highway adoption enquiries for sections 38/184/278 processes.

The role requires keen attention to detail, good IT and communication skills, and the ability to work to deadlines in a collaborative environment.

Qualificações

• Knowledge of planning policy/ guidance/ legislation, highway design standards, construction techniques, asset management principles or maintenance standards.
• Attention to detail to ensure accurate recording of information.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including liaising with customers face to face and on the telephone, and to build credibility of the Council.
• Good IT skills, including ability to learn service-specific systems and software.
• Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise work to tight timescales; flexible in a fast-paced, customer-focused construction environment.

Responsabilidades

• Provide technical administration support to the Development Approvals team, keep/update data/record management systems, provide administrative support and manage financial processes.
• Deal with highway adoption enquiries from various sources and liaise with district/parish councils or members of public on development queries.
• Provide technical advice on minor developer-funded adoptable highway infrastructure (sections 38/184/278) and ensure submitted designs comply with the Leicestershire Highway Design Guide; offer guidance and support to achieve technical approval. On-the-job training will be provided.
• Work in a fast-paced environment, manage own workload and meet deadlines.
• Build relationships with stakeholders through excellent communication and negotiation.
• Contribute to shaping the direction of growth in Leicestershire.
