A leading recruitment firm has an exciting opportunity for a Permanent Health & Safety Manager based in Selly Oak. You will ensure compliance with health and safety legislation for a major construction contractor. Responsibilities include developing training, advising senior management, conducting inspections, and leading the Health and Safety team. Ideal candidates will have substantial construction experience, relevant qualifications (NEBOSH), and strong leadership skills. This role offers a competitive salary ranging from £38,000 to £40,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of health and safety management systems delivery in construction.

  • Experience with CHAS Accreditation submissions.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure company Health and Safety Policy is implemented across all sites.
  • Assist in identifying training needs and delivering training.
  • Advise Directors on health, safety, and welfare legislation.
  • Support Site Managers in maintaining safe systems of work.
  • Conduct safety inspections and audits for continuous improvement.
  • Investigate accidents to prevent recurrences.
