Job summary

Just Eat Takeaway.com is seeking a senior Golang engineer to strengthen our integration platform that connects Grocery Partners with the Just Eat Takeaway ecosystem. You’ll own feature work, influence architecture and mentor peers in a fast-paced, production-focused environment.

You will work on event-driven microservices using Golang, Kafka, AWS, Kubernetes, and observability tooling, collaborating with product and delivery teams to deliver reliable, scalable services.

Qualifications

• Senior Golang engineer with strong experience in event-driven distributed systems.
• Proficient in building production services on AWS including on-call and incident response.
• Experience with Kafka, SQS, SNS or Pub/Sub and RabbitMQ.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills; ability to explain complex ideas clearly.
• Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and observability tools like Datadog and Grafana.

Responsibilities

• Build new features in Golang for the integration platform.
• Make architectural decisions and set technical direction.
• Support product and delivery teams.
• Mentor mid and junior engineers and shape team practices.
• Contribute to AI-assisted development and maintain code quality.
