Job summary

Just Eat Takeaway.com is seeking a senior Golang engineer to design and evolve our event-driven microservices platform. You will own crucial components, drive architectural decisions, and ensure reliability at scale across production systems in AWS.

You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with product and delivery teams, and help raise the team's technical standards while maintaining strong communication across stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Golang and distributed event-driven systems.
• Experience running production services on AWS (on-call, incident response, observability).
• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Able to mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering culture.
• Excellent communication and ability to explain technical ideas to non-technical people.

Responsibilities

• Build new features in our core language, Golang.
• Make key architectural decisions and set the technical direction for the platform.
• Support product and delivery teams.
• Mentor mid level and junior engineers, and shape how the team builds.
