Amey is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our consulting geotechnical practice across England and Wales, preferably based in Birmingham, Manchester, York or Cardiff. You will lead geotechnical projects, mentor junior engineers, and work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver feasibility through to close-out.

The role requires Chartered or Incorporated status and strong geotechnical expertise, with a focus on delivering safe, high-quality engineering outcomes for national

Qualifications

• Chartered or Incorporated status as defined by the Engineering Council or equivalent.
• Extensive geotechnical experience gained in an engineer role or equivalent.
• Knowledge of geotechnical reporting procedures and design standards.

Responsabilités

• Leading a team and delivering technically sound geotechnical solutions.
• Taking ownership of projects from quotation to handover.
• Preparing and checking designs, calculations, drawings and documentation to quality, cost and programme criteria.
• Overseeing junior staff and taking responsibility for their actions.
• Contributing to the professional development of junior staff and acting as a Delegated Engineer.
• Liaising with client and supplier representatives and attending progress meetings.
• Managing a locally based single-discipline technical team and delivery of their workload.
• Contributing to bids and work-winning activities.
• Driving health and safety practices within the team.
