Job summary

Crouch Waterfall, a Vulcain Engineering Group subsidiary, seeks a Senior Geotechnical Engineer in Bristol (Hybrid). You will lead geotechnical designs, mentor junior staff, and work on a mix of domestic projects across rail, bridges, and infrastructure.

The role offers growth, a supportive team, and opportunities to advance within a growing SME portfolio while collaborating with multiple offices and disciplines.

Qualifications

• Degree in Geotechnical/Civil Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Chartered status or in-progress with a recognised professional body (e.g. CEng or CGeol).
• Experience on UK projects and familiarity with UK standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical designs for temporary and permanent works across projects.
• Review and check work of others, contributing to schemes designed by other disciplines.
• Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and project documentation.
• Undertake site inspections and geotechnical surveys when required.
• Mentor junior staff and collaborate with other offices and disciplines.
