Job summary

Crouch Waterfall in Exeter is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead geotechnical projects across rail, bridges and structures. You’ll design temporary and permanent works, review peers, and collaborate across disciplines while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience in geotechnical engineering.
• Chartered status or in-progress with a recognised professional body (e.g. CEng or CGeol).
• Experience working on UK projects and familiarity with UK standards and practice.
• Strong technical reporting skills and a high standard of written and spoken English.
• Independent right to live and work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical designs for temporary and permanent works.
• Design civil and structural schemes and review designs by others.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians across projects.
• Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies and option analyses.
• Undertake site inspections and geotechnical surveys.
• Act as client contact and support relationship development.
