Job summary

Crouch Waterfall, part of the Vulcain Engineering Group, is seeking a Senior Civil & Structural Engineer to deliver innovative solutions for diverse UK building projects.

Based in the Bristol area, you will lead technical delivery, mentor junior engineers, and help develop towards Principal Engineer level while maintaining high standards of safety and quality across commercial, residential, education and healthcare schemes.

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• Proven experience in the design of structures, ideally from a design consultancy.
• Experience in buildings (commercial, education, residential, healthcare) preferred.
• Ability to manage technical scopes or lead projects, mentoring others.
• Working towards Chartered status (ICE or IStructE).
• Client-facing with strong communication skills.
• Fluent English and right to work in the UK, with local Bristol/Dorset project experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate technical delivery and resources across projects.
• Provide mentoring to Engineers, Graduates and Technicians.
• Review work for technical quality and contribute to complex design elements.
• Carry out inspections, site surveys and structural assessments, and prepare reports.
• Maintain client relationships and ensure deliverables meet scope and budget.
• Ensure compliance with standards and support the Quality Management System.
• Contribute technical input to proposals and identify opportunities.
