Job summary

Ridge and Partners LLP seeks an experienced Chartered/Senior Geotechnical Engineer to support planning and engineering teams across projects in the UK. The role is based in Bristol, Manchester, or Birmingham with a three-days-per-week office presence under a flexible hybrid policy.

You will lead geotechnical investigations, assessments, and the design of geotechnical solutions, collaborating with civil and structural disciplines on domestic and international commissions.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering or geology (or equivalent).
• Postgraduate qualification in geotechnical subject.
• Chartered status as civil engineer or geologist.

Responsibilities

• Draft Ground Investigation Reports (geotechnical elements).
• Conduct slope stability analysis and earthworks assessments.
• Perform ULS and SLS analysis for foundations.
• Prepare Geotechnical Design Reports and associated client communications.
