Job summary

Ridge and Partners LLP is seeking an experienced Chartered/Senior Geotechnical Engineer to support our planning and engineering teams. The role can be based in Bristol, Manchester or Birmingham with a mandatory hybrid policy and three days in the office.

You will lead geotechnical investigations, assessments and design, work with civil and structural disciplines, and contribute to pre-planning and design development across the UK and internationally.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering or geology with a postgraduate geotechnical qualification and chartered status.
• Proven project management track record in design and build environments.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Drafting Ground Investigation Reports (geotechnical elements).
• Performing ULS and SLS analyses for foundations and slope stability assessments.
• Developing earthworks designs and earthworks specifications.
• Reviewing geotechnical designs and providing feedback to CD622 and other stakeholders.
• Liaising with clients to support work-winning and project delivery.
• Travel to project sites as required within the UK and overseas.
