Igne are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join the Ground Investigation Division (GI England) based from Chester-le-Street, County Durham. You will manage large complex ground investigation projects and write first-class interpretative reports, contributing to an expanding team.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or related discipline
- Previous contract management experience on ground investigation projects
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and reporting abilities
- Full driving licence (travel is required)
Responsibilities
- Collect, validate, and log subsurface data (borehole logs, sampling records, geophysical outputs)
- Perform geological interpretation to develop factual logs and initial ground models
- Contribute to technical reporting with factual logs, lab data summaries and interpretative narratives
- Maintain project schedules and resource allocations with the Geotechnical Co-ordinator
- Support tender preparation by providing scope input, cost estimates and technical write-ups
- Monitor specialist equipment usage and report maintenance/calibration requirements
- Oversee and manage ground investigation projects
