Job summary
Igne Group Limited in Warrington is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer/Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join the Ground Investigation Division. You will manage large ground investigation projects, collect and log subsurface data, and develop initial ground models.
The role requires a degree in a related field, contract management experience, and strong reporting and communication skills, plus a driving licence for travel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor or Masters in Geotechnical Engineering, Geology or related field.
- Experience in contract management of ground investigation projects.
- Strong written and oral communication and reporting abilities.
Responsibilities
- Collect, validate, and log subsurface data (borehole logs, sampling, geophysics).
- Perform geological interpretation to develop factual logs and initial ground models.
- Contribute to technical reporting, logs, lab data summaries, and narratives.
- Maintain project schedules and resource allocations with the Geotechnical Co-ordinator.
- Support tender input, cost estimates, and technical write-ups.
- Monitor equipment usage and maintenance requirements.
- Oversee and manage ground investigation projects.
