Igne are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join the Ground Investigation Division (GI Scotland) based from Hamilton, Glasgow. The role entails managing large, complex ground investigation projects and producing first-class interpretative reports.

You should have substantial experience and be chartered or on the path to chartership. The company offers an innovative, fast-paced environment with opportunities for training and development.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Geology/Hydrogeology or related discipline.
• Experience in contract management of ground investigation projects.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and reporting abilities.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Full driving licence (travel is required).

Aufgaben

• Site investigation contract supervision/management (drilling rigs and personnel) and liaising with clients.
• Soil and rock logging to current guidelines.
• Trial pitting works.
• In-situ testing.
• Environmental groundwater/gas monitoring and sampling.
• Timely submission of site information (drilling records, weekly timesheets).
• Health and safety responsibilities including site-specific working practice documents and inductions.
