Igne seeks a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join the Ground Investigation Division (GI England) based in Chester-le-Street, County Durham. You will manage large, complex ground investigation projects and author high-quality interpretative reports.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor or Masters’ degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Geology or related discipline.
• Experience in contract management of ground investigation projects.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and reporting abilities.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Full driving licence (travel is required).

Aufgaben

• Collect, validate, and log subsurface data, including borehole logs, sampling records, and geophysical survey outputs.
• Perform geological interpretation of site data to develop factual logs and initial ground models.
• Contribute to technical reporting, preparing factual geotechnical logs, laboratory data summaries, and interpretative narratives.
• Maintain project schedules and resource allocations in collaboration with the Geotechnical Co-ordinator.
• Support tender preparation by providing scope input, cost estimates, and technical write-ups.
• Monitor specialist equipment usage and report any maintenance or calibration requirements.
