A leading consulting firm is seeking a Senior Geospatial Consultant in Newcastle to innovate with geospatial technologies. The role involves developing digital offerings for UK Water clients, mentoring junior staff, and fostering a collaborative team environment. Required skills include proficiency in ESRI products, data management, and project delivery techniques. Experience within the utility sector, especially Water, would be advantageous. This hybrid position offers flexibility in working arrangements.
Are you looking for a role where you can explore new ways of working with geospatial and digital technologies? Where you can work alongside an award-winning team of experts who are driving innovation across Stantec and our UK Water clients? If so, then our Senior Geospatial Consultant opportunity could be just for you.
We have a new opportunity for a Senior Geospatial Consultant within our Water Sector team. The role is based in our Newcastle office, with hybrid working allowing for a combination of in-office and home working (3-days per week in the office). Our Newcastle office is located on the Quayside, a short distance from Newcastle train station and other public transport links.
As a Senior Geospatial Consultant, you will be a senior presence in a local team of geospatial analysts, looking to develop and apply our range of digital offerings to our clients and project caseload - whether this be data visualisation, multi-criteria analysis, automation and efficiency, or best practice data management. You will be working in a consultancy setting, understanding the needs of our UK Water clients, and challenging our teams to innovate and provide data driven approaches to our projects. In the role of Senior Geospatial Consultant, you will be a proactive and driven individual, looking to develop our service offerings and mentor your early career colleagues.
To be successful in this role you will most likely be an experienced GIS/Data Analyst, Geospatial Data Engineer/Analyst or similar; with good knowledge of geospatial concepts and data processing techniques within a range software and tools (such as Esri ArcGIS, FME, and PowerBI). Due to the nature of this role any prior experience within the utility sectors, especially Water, would be beneficial.
The successful candidate will be a key member of the Geospatial discipline, supported by a national team of experts and supported in the drive to innovate across our internal teams and our client offerings.
