Job description

To take ownership and responsibility for the fit, technical aspects and quality expectations for selected categories from 1st fit to pre-production through to production.

Measure and prepare fit samples for weekly fit sessions.

Client Details

Our client is an established ladies fashion retailer based in the west midlands area looking for a talented individual to join as a Senior Garment Technologist. The company continues to design and develop products for a broad range of consumers, seeking to bring the correct look and fit to customers of all ages, utilising the highest quality fabrics and raw materials to ensure that the product fits beautifully and performs well.

Description

1. Responsible for Pre-QC Reports and setting up garment specs.
2. Attend fit sessions alongside buyer/production team to view signed off samples on the fit model.
3. Instruct factories/suppliers regarding fit, make and quality.
4. Finalising specs including grading via electronic workbooks.
5. Maintain consistency of fit in line with customer expectations.
6. Have a good understanding of patterns and garment construction.
7. Ensure suppliers meet the company quality expectations.
8. Liaise with factories on all aspects.
9. Keen eye for fit assessment, quality, and attention to detail.
10. Assessment/interpretation of test reports/risk analysis, and wash care approval.
11. Work alongside buying to ensure styles are sealed within the agreed timescales of the critical path.
12. Chase the critical path.
13. Process and manage the stock buys.
14. Cover warehouse duties as and when required.
15. Responsible for managing sample storage areas (Reference Isle, production Avenue, Photo shoot, shipment isle and stock buys).
