As a Mould Technician, you will be responsible for managing the work schedule for the Moulding Department and providing technical and team support to setters. You will also set up and process injection moulding orders.

What you'll do:

• Manage shift schedules, oversee work assignments, training, breaks, overtime, and rotation for Setters and Material Handlers.
• Serve as the primary contact for technical issues and provide immediate support.
• Monitor and guide the technical performance of employees.
• Conduct employee reviews and support the appraisal process.
• Lead or support team meetings and address safety issues promptly.
• Recommend and implement process improvements.
• Cover for Production Team Leaders when necessary.
• Install and operate aluminium injection moulds, ensuring specifications are met.
• Troubleshoot and maintain machinery.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards, maintaining a clean work area.
• Engage in Total Productive Maintenance and seek continuous process improvements.
• Follow all company policies and perform additional tasks as needed.

What it takes:

• High technical competence in Injection Moulding.
• Clear communication skills with diverse individuals.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Experience in plastics manufacturing setups.
• Team Leader experience is advantageous.
• Ability to obtain a license for material handling equipment is beneficial.
• Proficiency with hand-held and stationary power tools.
• Safe handling of sharp and heavy objects.
• Skill in using measuring instruments.
• Proficiency with computers, calculators, English literacy, and basic math.
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, team-oriented environments.
• Punctuality and good attendance.
• Ability to follow instructions with strong communication and attention to detail.
