Job summary

Aztec Group is seeking a detail-oriented Fund Administrator to support a large portfolio of fund structures within the Fund of Funds team in Guernsey. You will work under the direction of the Financial Reporting Manager to ensure accurate investor reporting, NAV packs, and quarterly accounts.

The role requires 3+ years in fund administration, ACCA/ACA progress, strong technical finance knowledge, and excellent interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in fund administration or a financial services environment.
• Part-qualified in ACCA/ACA or equivalent.
• Sound technical financial services knowledge.
• Strong computer literacy and proficiency with accounting tools.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship-building abilities.

Responsibilities

• Administer a variety of private equity, real estate and fund of fund structures and liaise with clients and intermediaries as necessary.
• Process and co-ordinate routine and complex fund operations including the production of calls and distribution notices to investors.
• Maintain accurate investor records and process investor changes/transfers.
• Maintain records on eFront for all accounting aspects.
• Produce/ review investor reporting including NAV packs and quarterly statements.
• Assist in planning and producing annual audited financial statements and liaise with auditors.
• Monitor client inbox daily to meet deliverables and SLAs.
• Build strong working relationships with team, clients and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior staff and supervise their development under senior staff.

About the role:

Reports to Financial Reporting Manager

As part of our Fund of Funds team, this highly numerical position will see you take an active role in the day-to-day administration of a large number of fund structures for one of the Group’s largest institutional clients, under the direction of a Financial Reporting Manager.

Key responsibilities:

• Administer a variety of private equity, real estate and fund of fund structures and liaise with clients and intermediaries as necessary
• Process and co-ordinate routine and complex fund operations including the production of calls and distribution notices to investors
• Ensure accurate investor records are maintained and process all investor changes / transfers thereon
• Maintain accurate records on eFront for all aspects of accounting
• Produce / review monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc investor reporting including monthly unit holdings, monthly cash flow reporting, quarterly NAV packs, quarterly management accounts, quarterly investor capital accounts and quarterly investor fact sheets / reporting
• Involved in the planning for and production of annual audited financial statements and liaise with auditors throughout the audit process
• Monitor the client inbox on a daily basis to ensure that all deliverables and service level agreements requirements are being met
• Build strong working relationships with the team and the client as well as other internal and external stakeholders
• Dealing with ad-hoc investor queries
• Act as a mentor to junior staff and be responsible for their development and review of their work where applicable, under the supervision of senior staff

Skills, knowledge, expertise:

• 3+ years experience in fund administration or a financial services environment
• The candidate will be part-qualified in a relevant professional qualification (preferably ACCA, ACA, or equivalent)
• Sound technical financial services knowledge (to be supported through the Aztec Academy)
• Computer literacy skills are essential
• Very good interpersonal skills are required to develop close working relationships with colleagues, clients and business contacts
