Job summary

Heidi is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to own features from database to browser, designing data models, building the Python service, and shipping the React/TypeScript interface for clinicians across 190+ countries.

You will work in a flat, flexible team building AI products for healthcare. The role requires experienced engineers who ship high-demand, scalable features and own outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience across frontend and backend.
• Strong React and TypeScript expertise; Next.js or similar; performance and accessibility.
• Python production experience building and running backend services.
• Hands-on MongoDB and Redis; thoughtful data modeling.
• Experience building and managing message queues at scale.
• Deep API design knowledge: security, versioning, performance.
• Application and data security understanding on client and server sides.
• Experience integrating with third-party systems.
• Testable code, and fluency with Git and CI/CD.
• Proven ability to build scalable, reliable systems under load.
• Passion for AI; hands-on building or side projects.
• Bias for action; build over asking.
• Open to being wrong; strong ideas win.

Responsibilities

• Own features from database to browser: data model, Python service, React/TS UI, observe usage and iterate.
• Build fast, accessible interfaces in React/TypeScript/Next.js for high-throughput clinicians.
• Design and run high-performance Python backend with MongoDB/Redis.
• Design APIs and own versioning, docs, testing and security.
• Develop and manage message queue systems for real-time data.
• Shape cloud infrastructure to scale and stay up.
• Pair with product/design/AI engineers to ship workflows and measure.
• Write readable, testable code that lasts six months and beyond.
