Job summary

Heidi in London is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to own end-to-end features from database to browser, including the React interface, Python services, and the underlying data model. You’ll ship SaaS features for clinicians, balancing frontend performance with robust backend design.

You’ll build fast interfaces in React/TypeScript/Next.js, design high-performance Python services with MongoDB/Redis, and own APIs with security and versioning.

Qualifications

• >5 years of software engineering experience, frontend and backend
• Strong React and TypeScript, Next.js or similar, browser performance & accessibility
• Python in production: backend services
• MongoDB and Redis with solid data modeling
• Experience building and managing message queues at scale
• API design: security, versioning, performance, client-server contract
• Security knowledge on both sides of the contract
• Experience integrating with third-party systems
• Testable, readable code; proficient in Git and CI/CD
• Experience building scalable, highly available systems with security scrutiny
• Passion for AI; hands-on building or side projects

Responsibilities

• Own features from database to browser: data model, Python service, React/TypeScript interface
• Build fast, accessible interfaces in React/TS/Next.js
• Design, build and run high-performance backend services in Python with MongoDB/Redis
• Design APIs and own versioning, docs, tests and security
• Develop and manage message queue systems for real-time data
• Shape cloud infrastructure to scale and stay up
• Pair with product/design/AI engineers to turn briefs into shipped workflows
• Write code that is readable, testable, and maintainable six months from now
