Job summary

AVEVA is seeking a Senior Full-stack Engineer for its Core AI Services team in Cambridge. You will design, build, and scale cloud-native services on Microsoft Azure, and develop Angular-based UIs and secure public APIs to enable AI adoption across product lines.

You will work in an agile Scrum setting, mentor junior developers, and help drive end-to-end features, data pipelines, and orchestration layers with a strong emphasis on reliability, security, and scalable software growth.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of software engineering experience across the full stack.
• Hands-on experience with containerised deployments in Kubernetes.
• Deep understanding of RESTful API design, versioning, testing, and full lifecycle management.
• Strong knowledge of securing APIs (OAuth2, OIDC, RBAC) and privacy best practices.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot).
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments with distributed teams.
• Proven ability to mentor colleagues and elevate team code quality.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, fault-tolerant cloud-native services on Microsoft Azure.
• Develop and maintain clean, responsive web UIs using Angular for core platform services.
• Create secure, well-documented public APIs and SDKs for internal and external use.
• Drive feature implementation from design to production with emphasis on code quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions across data pipelines and APIs.
• Embed security controls and privacy-by-design across AI services.
• Participate in design and code reviews to promote engineering best practices.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers to foster growth and learning.
