Job summary

AVEVA in Cambridge is seeking a Senior Full-stack Engineer to design, build and scale AI-enabled platform services. You will contribute to cloud-native Azure workloads, develop Angular UIs and secure APIs, and mentor teammates in a fast-moving Scrum environment.

The role emphasizes production-grade software, data pipelines, and collaboration with global R&D teams. Hybrid working patterns apply, with onsite collaboration and remote options where appropriate.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of software engineering across the full stack with cloud-native backend work.
• Strong experience in .NET C# and modern web frameworks (Angular).
• Hands-on with containerised deployments in Kubernetes.
• Deep understanding of RESTful API design, versioning, testing and lifecycle.
• Good knowledge of API security (OAuth2, OIDC, RBAC) and data privacy.
• Familiar with AI-assisted development tools to accelerate workflows.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum across distributed global teams.
• Proven ability to mentor colleagues and raise code quality.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable, cloud-native services on Azure.
• Develop responsive UIs with Angular to complement AI platform services and APIs.
• Create secure, well-documented public APIs and SDKs for internal and partner use.
• Drive feature implementation end-to-end with focus on quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across data pipelines and services.
• Embed security controls, identity management and privacy-by-design practices.
• Participate in design and code reviews and promote engineering best practices.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers to improve team capability.
