Job summary
AVEVA in Cambridge, UK, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Core AI Services team. You will design, develop, and scale AI-enabled platform services, agentic workflows, and public APIs that are secure, reliable, and cloud-native.
Join an agile Scrum team delivering production-grade AI capabilities, mentor peers, and stay at the forefront of AI engineering patterns and practices for enterprise-scale software.
Qualifications
- 5–8+ years of software engineering experience across the full stack.
- Strong backend development experience with .NET C#.
- Hands-on experience deploying containerized apps with Kubernetes.
- Proficient in secure API design and API lifecycle management.
- Experience with OAuth2, OIDC, RBAC and data privacy practices.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum in distributed teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-native services on Microsoft Azure.
- Develop secure public APIs and SDKs for internal and external use.
- Drive feature implementation from design to production with focus on quality and reliability.
- Collaborate across data pipelines, orchestration layers, and service APIs.
- Embed security and privacy-by-design across AI services.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers to raise code quality.
