Job summary

AVEVA in Cambridge seeks a Senior Software Engineer for the Core AI Services team to design, build, and scale AI-enabled platform services, agentic workflows, and public APIs that are secure, reliable, and cloud-native.

You will work in an Agile/Scrum environment, mentor junior developers, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end AI solutions across data pipelines, orchestration layers, and service APIs.

Qualifications

5-8+ years of software engineering across the full stack with cloud-native backend focus.
Strong expertise in cloud-native backend development (.NET/C# a plus) and RESTful APIs.
Experience with containerized deployments in Kubernetes and API security.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-native services on Azure.
Develop secure, well-documented public APIs and SDKs for internal and external use.
Drive feature implementation from design to production and ensure code quality.
Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions across data pipelines and service APIs.
Embed security controls, identity management, and privacy-by-design practices.
Contribute to design and code reviews and champion engineering best practices.
Mentor junior and mid-level developers to elevate team capability.
