Job summary

AVEVA is seeking a passionate software engineer to join the Core AI Services team in Cambridge. You will design, develop, and scale AI-enabled platform services and public APIs that are secure, reliable, and cloud-native, forming foundations for AI adoption across AVEVA’s products and partner ecosystem.

You will work in an agile Scrum team, delivering scalable, enterprise-grade AI capabilities with a startup-like mindset, focusing on modern AI engineering patterns and robust software practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years professional software engineering experience in platform or cloud-native service development.
• Solid RESTful API design, versioning, testing, and lifecycle management.
• Proficiency securing APIs, authentication/authorization and data privacy.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable, fault-tolerant cloud-native services on Microsoft Azure.
• Develop and refine secure public APIs and SDKs using ASP.NET Core and C#.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Embed robust security controls for AI services.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and implementation discussions to ensure engineering excellence.
