Job summary

Butternut Box is seeking a Senior FP&A Analyst in the UK to support reporting, planning, forecasting and budgeting, delivering insights to help meet objectives. You will handle large data sets, lead projects and partner with commercial and operations teams to optimize financial performance.

The role requires a qualified accountant with FP&A experience, advanced Excel skills and comfort with ambiguity in a high-growth environment. This is a hybrid position with offices in West London.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with FP&A experience.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Ambiguity tolerant in a fast-paced environment.
• 3+ years post-qualification, 2+ in FP&A.

Responsibilities

• Run the rolling forecast process by collating outputs from management accounts and leaders to understand P&L and cash impact.
• Support budgeting and long-range planning; lead defined workstreams within FP&A cycles.
• Run periodic P&L and cash variance analyses and identify root causes for action.
• Host 4-weekly PBRs with budget owners to discuss risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with commercial teams on CPA, growth rates, retention, and channel effectiveness; allocate resources.
• Work with operational teams on unit economics, standard costs, yield, and write-offs.
• Model scenarios for product/market launches and growth, including international expansion; support success of new markets.
• Present analysis to senior leadership and prepare quarterly board materials with ad-hoc deep dives.
• Own processes and team goals; apply AI/automation to speed up reporting.
