Job summary

Databricks is seeking Senior Forward Deployed Engineers to lead architecture and hands-on implementation of end-to-end data and AI solutions for enterprise customers in London. You will own architecture decisions, guide design, and deliver production-grade systems spanning data engineering, AI, and application development.

The role requires deep Spark experience, cloud proficiency (AWS/Azure/GCP), and strong collaboration with customers and cross-functional teams to achieve measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in data engineering, data platforms, analytics or software engineering.
• Hands-on with Python/Scala/JavaScript, and modern frameworks.
• Cloud experience across AWS/Azure/GCP with at least one cloud proficiency.
• In-depth knowledge of distributed computing using Spark and Spark internals.
• Experience delivering production-grade, end-to-end data/AI solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead production-grade solution delivery including data ingestion, architectures and ML/AI integration.
• Guide transformational, end-to-end big data projects for enterprise clients.
• Architect and design secure, scalable solutions aligned with best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful engagement outcomes.
• Embed with customer teams to understand challenges and deliver impact.
• Contribute accelerators and best practices to scale engagements across accounts.
