Job summary

Databricks in London is seeking Senior Forward Deployed Engineers to own architecture and lead design decisions for end-to-end data engineering, AI, and application development projects on the Databricks platform.

This highly hands-on, customer-facing role requires strong engineering expertise, adaptability, and excellent communication with stakeholders across roles. Travel up to 20% is expected, with opportunities to shape strategic priorities and deliver measurable business impact.

Qualifications

• Experience in data engineering or analytics incl. data pipelines.
• Knowledge of two or more cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Deep experience with distributed computing using Spark.
• Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
• Understanding of ML/AI models and MLOps.

Responsibilities

• Lead production-grade delivery of data and AI solutions on the Databricks platform.
• Guide strategic customers through end-to-end design, build and deployment of big data and AI applications.
• Own architecture decisions to ensure secure, scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering, product and customer teams to meet engagement goals.
• Develop accelerators, frameworks and best practices that scale across accounts.
