Job summary

Databricks, a data and AI pioneer, seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer Architect to deliver production-grade data and AI solutions for enterprise customers in the UK. You will own architecture, lead design decisions, and integrate data pipelines, ML models, and user interfaces using Databricks platforms.

You will collaborate across engineering, product, and customer teams, shaping technical strategy, driving measurable outcomes, and ensuring secure, scalable deployments with strong customer

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics.
• Strong coding skills in Python, Scala, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with two or more cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Deep experience with Apache Spark and Spark internals.
• Experience delivering technical projects with measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead production-grade data and AI solution delivery.
• Design reference architectures and data ingestion and ML/AI model integration.
• Collaborate with engagement managers to scope technical delivery work.
• Embed with customer teams to understand challenges and deliver impact.
• Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with best practices.
• Work with Databricks teams to provide feedback and guide issues.
