Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer Architect to partner with customers on data and AI challenges using the Databricks platform. You will own the architecture, lead design decisions, and implement end-to-end systems spanning data engineering, AI, and application development.

This hands-on, customer-facing role delivers production-grade solutions with high customer empathy. You will work with engineering, product and customer teams to shape delivery, create accelerators, and ensure

Qualifications

Extensive experience in data engineering, data platforms or software engineering.
Working knowledge of two or more cloud ecosystems (AWS/Azure/GCP) with expertise in at least one.
Deep experience with distributed computing using Spark and related runtimes.
Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
Knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models and AI APIs.
Ability to design end-to-end data architectures and applications combining pipelines, models, and UI.

Responsibilities

Lead production-grade systems delivery and reference architectures for customers.
Guide strategic customers on end-to-end design, build and deployment of big data and AI applications.
Bootstrap or implement customer projects to showcase value and adoption of Databricks.
Own architecture decisions to ensure secure, scalable solutions aligned with customer needs.
