Job summary

Janus Henderson Group is seeking a business‑facing engineer to co‑develop AI and data solutions that reach production. You will embed with the business, turning problems into scalable AI products using Python, SQL, LLMs, and Azure tools.

This role sits in a firm‑wide AI transformation under a central AI function. You will own solutions from first conversation to live running, collaborating with AI Enablement Partners and stakeholders across desks, analytics, and trading.

Qualifications

• At least four years in a technical, business‑facing engineering role (Forward Deployed Engineering, solutions engineering, or embedded engineering).
• Strong Python and SQL, with a track record of shipping production applications.
• Production experience with LLMs, prompt/context engineering, agent development, and deployment at scale.
• Experience building data pipelines from APIs and enterprise systems; modelling raw data into curated views.
• Working knowledge of Azure, CI/CD, containers, and infrastructure as code.

Responsibilities

• Embed with the business: sit with users to understand workflows, data, and friction.
• Deliver end‑to‑end AI solutions, from design to live running.
• Build investment capability on Nexus; enable firm‑wide deployment of models and signals.
• Make data and capability reusable via Accio and Nexus for cross‑team consumption.
• Work across the AI function with security, governance, and engineering teams.
