Job summary

Janus Henderson Investors is seeking a Senior Applied AI Engineer to lead the delivery of enterprise AI products and platform services. You will design, build, and productionise AI systems, govern them through testing and observability, and mentor fellow engineers to raise engineering standards.

You will work with Azure AI Foundry, Accio, Nexus, and other components, shaping how the team operates and delivering end-to-end business applications on the AI stack with governance and scale in mind.

Qualifications

• Six+ years shipping and operating production AI systems.
• Production experience with LLMs and agentic systems.
• Strong Python and SQL ability for maintainable code.
• Experience with cloud platforms and IaC (Azure preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and productionise AI products and shared platform services end-to-end.
• Mentor AI Engineers and set engineering standards for the team.
• Collaborate with Percepta and other stakeholders on shared capabilities.
• Own lifecycle, monitoring, and governance for production services.
