Job summary

Janus Henderson Investors is seeking a forward deployed engineer to embed with business units and transform workflows into production AI and data solutions. You will work closely with AI Enablement Partners, surface demand, and own end-to-end delivery from first conversation to live running.

The role spans data sourcing, curation, and reusable components on Nexus, with toolkits including Python, SQL, LLMs, MCP servers, Azure Foundry, Terraform, and Docker.

Qualifications

• Four+ years in a technical, business-facing engineering role.
• Strong Python and SQL, with production experience of LLMs and agents.
• Experience building data pipelines from APIs and enterprise systems.
• Working knowledge of Azure, CI/CD, containers, and infrastructure as code.
• Excellent stakeholder skills and ability to work in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Sit with business users to understand workflows and data friction.
• Partner with AI Enablement on escalated demand and delivery.
• Set realistic expectations on feasibility, scope, and outcomes.
• Design, build, and productionise bespoke AI solutions from concept to live running.
• Own architecture and design decisions for solutions, ensuring security and scale.
• Take solutions through evaluation, observability, and AI governance checkpoints.
• Build investment capability on Nexus for firm-wide use and reuse.
• Source data via APIs and enterprise systems, curate it into business-focused views.
• Expose data and capability through Accio and Nexus for reuse by approved agents.
• Co-build enterprise core deliverables with AI Security and Governance teams.
