Job summary

WSP is seeking a Fluvial Geomorphologist/Hydromorphologist to join the Catchment Science team. You will apply expertise in fluvial geomorphology, WFD, and natural flood management to deliver high-impact outcomes for river corridors and catchments.

You’ll mentor a growing hydromorphology group, contribute to training, and support proposals and business development across the UK. Hybrid working and chartership progression are supported.

Qualifications

• Degree (BSc/MSc) in environmental science or geography or equivalent.
• Full membership of CIWEM, CIEEM, RGS desirable; chartership supported by WSP.

Responsibilities

• Undertake fluvial geomorphology and WFD assessments for diverse projects.
• Contribute to development/delivery of training in fluvial geomorphology and BNG.
• Lead and assist in writing proposals for clients.
• Conduct watercourse BNG assessments and suggest enhancements for 10% net gain.
• Produce high quality reports; manage scheduling and budgets.
