Job summary

WSP is seeking an experienced Fluvial Geomorphologist / Hydromorphologist within the Catchment Science team to work on fluvial geomorphology, WFD, NbS, NFM, and BNG for watercourses. You will mentor and support the growing team, shaping the role to align with our growth strategy in Hydromorphology.

We offer flexible location across the UK with hybrid working, and development toward chartership through mentoring and training.

Qualifications

• Degree in environmental science or geography (BSc/MSc).
• Full membership of CIWEM, CIEEM or RGS preferred.
• Ability to lead large projects and coordinate dispersed survey teams.
• Experience in undertaking WFD assessments.
• Chartered status or progression encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking fluvial geomorphology and WFD assessments for a diverse project portfolio.
• Developing and delivering internal training materials for fluvial geomorphology and BNG.
• Leading and assisting in writing proposals for clients.
• Conducting watercourse BNG assessments and developing enhancements for 10% net gain.
• Producing high-quality reports with budgeting and scheduling responsibilities.
• Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams across the business.
• Contributing to business development for the hydromorphology service line.
