Job summary

Environment Agency is seeking a Senior Advisor in Fluvial Flood Risk Modelling to support and assure complex flood risk models. You will work within Evidence Services to provide technical leadership and guidance to six delivery teams, improving methods and outputs.

You will communicate complex results to non-experts, mentor colleagues, and contribute to cross-team learning across the Flood Risk Management Directorate. Flexibility and inclusion are valued.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge and technical leadership in flood modelling and hydrology.
• Strong experience in building hydraulic flood models and GIS.
• Experience in data processing and GIS software.

Responsibilities

• Support 6 Fluvial Delivery Teams technically and advise on ways of working.
• Collaborate with Risk Assessment/Head of Flood Risk Mapping and Moderelling via Centres of Excellence.
• Work with flood hydrology and coastal flood risk modelling experts.
• Contribute to training and skills development across teams.
