Job summary

Environment Agency is seeking a Senior Advisor in Fluvial Flood Risk Modelling to support and assure complex flood risk modelling within Evidence Services. You will communicate complex results clearly, mentor others, and contribute to cross-team initiatives across the FCRM Directorate.

You will work with Hydraulic modelling experts, GIS specialists, and data managers to deliver high-quality outputs that inform risk assessment and decision making.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge and technical leadership in flood modelling and hydrology.
• Extensive experience in building hydraulic flood models in a fluvial setting and using industry standard GIS.
• Experience in data processing and management and GIS software packages.

Responsibilities

• Support and provide assurance to complex and high-profile flood risk modelling.
• Mentor and coach colleagues; support six Fluvial Delivery Teams.
• Collaborate across the FCRM Directorate and Centres of Excellence.
