Job summary

Vibe Recruit is seeking a Senior Fire & Security Engineer to cover Reading and surrounding areas. The role combines hands-on installation, commissioning, servicing and fault finding across fire alarms, CCTV, access control and intruder systems.

You will mentor junior engineers, provide technical guidance, and work with customers to ensure reliable, compliant security solutions. A strong electrical background and full UK driving licence are advantageous.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Fire & Security Engineer.
Strong knowledge of Fire Alarm and Security systems.
Experience with service, maintenance, installation and/or commissioning.
Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Good electrical knowledge.
Ability to mentor and coach junior engineers.
Strong customer-facing and communication skills.
Full UK driving licence.
Based within a reasonable travelling distance of Reading.

Responsibilities

Install, commission, service, maintain and fault-find across Fire Alarm systems, CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, emergency lighting and integrated systems.
Provide technical support to other engineers and assist with complex fault diagnosis.
Mentor and coach junior engineers to develop their skills.
